NFL Player Shawne Merriman Arrested For Choking Tila Tequila

San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman was busted at 3:45 AM Sunday for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend MTV reality TV star Tila Tequila.

Per the San Diego Sheriffs Department:  "deputies responded to a disturbance call from a woman who claimed to have been choked and restrained by a male. Upon arrival at 12000 block of Sage Crest Drive in Poway, the reporting party identified herself as Tila Nguyen, aka Tila Tequila, and her alleged assailant as Shawne Merriman. Nguyen told deputies she had been choked and physically restrained by Merriman when she attempted to leave his residence.

Nyguen signed a citizen's arrest at the scene, charging Merriman with battery and false imprisonment. Nguyen was transported to Pomerado Hospital and Merriman was taken into custody by Sheriff's deputies."

According to NBC news, the latest is that Merriman will defend himself against the claim that he battered and falsely imprisoned Tila Tequila Nguyen. Merriman's defense will be that she was intoxicated and that he was trying to prevent her from driving in that condition.

So crazy! What is he taking that makes him so enraged? When will the NFL beef up their drug testing! They are just as bad as baseball, which has been completely tainted in America.
