Firefighters from across California are battling a massive fire in the San Gabriel Mountains north of Los Angeles and Palos Verdes, a wealthy community south of Los Angeles. The San Gabriel fire started late Thursday afternoon and had already scorched 500 acres as of 11pm PT tonight. The fire spread quickly due to today's low humidity and the fact it was very hot. Hopefully the Santa Ana winds keep calm for those winds cause havoc on fires in the LA basin.
