Who is Joining "American Idol"? Ellen DeGeneres!!!

It was just announced that comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres will be replacing Paula Abdul at the judges' table on the upcoming ninth season of American Idol. Finally! With the new season just around the corner, everyone was getting antsy wondering who would join Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell on the hit American TV show.

"I'm thrilled to be the new judge on American Idol," the Daytime Emmy-winning talk show host said in a statement. "I've watched since the beginning, and I've always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I'll save from not having to text in my vote."

DeGeneres has signed on for the entire season, so we are excited to see what she can bring to the table!

Peyton Manning and Justin Timberlake Pong it up for Sony

Justin Timberlake just posted a TV commercial for the Sony Broadband HD TV, featuring Indianapolis Colts quarterback, Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning, and ESPN reporter, Erin Andrews. Antonio Banderas - Melanie's in Rehab for Drug Abuse

Actress Melanie Griffith checked into rehab after fearing she was too "weak" to resist her urge for drugs, her husband Antonio Banderas has revealed. The 52-year-old plastic surgery loving lady has been seeking treatment at the Cirque Lodge in Utah since the end of August. Representatives for the star had previously refused to disclose the reason for her stay but her Spanish actor/hubby Banderas has spoken out, admitting that she turned to rehab in hopes of preventing a relapse.

Banderas tells Ellen DeGeneres, "Let me explain to you. It was actually in some magazine that I said that I gave an ultimatum to my wife. That I present the matter of divorce (sic) because she has been involved in addictions and blah, blah, blah. ...
"Melanie has been addicted for many years and we always came out. We said it out loud. It was OK, we were never embarrassed of the situation but ... she was clean and sober for six years."

Addiction to any kind of drug/alcohol/etc is a horrible demon to battle, so we hope Melanie gets better. She also needs to stop modifying her face before she becomes unrecognizable!

Taylor Swift Tops 10 Million Records Sold and 20 Million Downloaded

Taylor Swift has just surpassed the 10 million milestone for total albums sold in her very young musical career. Swift (age 19) has also sold over 20 million paid song downloads, which is more than any artist in country music history. Swift, who writes all of her own songs, released her now quadruple-platinum self-titled debut CD in October of 2006 on Big Machine Records, and followed it up with the release of her hit album Fearless in 2008.

Taylor has had singles top both the Country and Pop radio charts, and sold more albums last year than any other recording artist, in any genre of music. Her #1 single "Love Story" has become a global sensation, topping airplay charts worldwide, in countries including the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Taylor just celebrated her 4th consecutive #1 single in the US, and her fifth #1 out of her last six singles released.

Ashton Kutcher Loves the Pink Low Riders

Ashton Kutcher rides around in a pink low rider as he films scenes for the upcoming comedy "Valentine's Day" in Marina Del Rey, California. Ashton sports a pink short to match the funky car, which makes us think what is this scene about! Looks funny! The movie also stars Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel and will hit theaters in summer 2010.

Katherine Heigl Adopting a Girl!

Katherine Heigl is adopting a baby! Grey's Anatomy actress Heigl and husband Josh Kelley have wanted a baby for a long time, the source said, and the adoption process has been in the works for at least six months. The baby is from Korea, her given name is Nayleigh and her nickname will be Leigh, and she is approximately 10 months old. “She is thrilled,” a source close to the couple told news sources. “She and Josh are so happy.”

Heigl recently hosted a baby shower for her Grey’s co-star Ellen Pompeo. Heigl is currently on a leave of absence from Grey’s and starts filming the big-screen feature "Life As We Know It" next week.

Congrats! We are curious though why she is adopting, can she not have children, or maybe because she's an actress she doesn't want to mess her body up?
